As elders, we want to be instruments to shape glad hearts that rejoice in the goodness and glory of Christ. We strive to encourage vibrant and warm devotion to the Lord employed and evidenced by the normal means of grace: the Word and prayer along with water, bread, and wine. The result being that saints rest in the Father’s acceptance, provision, and faithfulness; trust in the Son’s righteousness, death, and resurrection; and walk in the Spirit’s guidance, power, and fruitfulness. From Ezekiel 34:16, we want to imitate the Lord’s ministry of seeking the lost, bringing back the strayed, binding up the injured, strengthening the weak, and bringing down the prideful.

Council of Elders

  • Zac Bickel

Zac was born and raised in the rural mountains of Pennsylvania, where the rolling Appalachians and cow-patty-filled cricks first sparked his love for the world that God made. While remaining deeply attached to the land of his birth, he began in second grade to dream of higher mountains and clearer rivers in this place called “Montana”. In 2013, he married Kayla, graduated from Summit University with a major in Bible and Outdoor Leadership, and moved to Northwestern Montana. Now, Zac, Kayla and their three children call Hungry Horse home. The Bickel household contentedly consists of: one man, one woman, three energetic children, two loyal dogs, four loud goats, and about 20 chickens (give or take a few). Zac currently works at Logan Health Lab in Kalispell.

  • Isaac Rajkowski

Isaac was raised in a large family in Coram (“in the presence of”) the peaks of Glacier National Park. His family grew up attending Lion Hill Baptist Church, which met in the same building Christ Canyon assembles in today. His wife Jordan and five children now enjoy their “homestead” in Hungry Horse with their dairy cows and a handful of chickens named after classical composers like “Bach”. Since he was a teenager, Isaac has invested in youth ministry in the Canyon including AWANA and Beyond Borders for Christ. After meeting and marrying at Big Sky Bible Camp, the Rajkowskis opened their home to foster care. They give thanks to God for his abundant grace to broken families. Isaac received a B.S. in Nursing and currently works as an RN at Logan Health in Whitefish.

  • RP Rogers

RP hails from the hills and hollers of rural West Virginia. RP, his beloved wife, and five delightful children live near a frog pond which they pass by on daily walks to the mailbox. The Rogers' family enjoys embarking on adventures in wilderness and woodland as an act of thanking God for his grandeur and gifts. Previously, he has served in a variety of roles of pastoral ministry, business management, and Christian education. He received a B.S. in Business Management from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA; M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forrest, NC; and Th.M. from the Union School of Theology in Wales, UK. Currently, he is a humanities instructor at Heritage Academy in Kalispell.
